Father throws children into Nilwala River

Police have commenced a search operation to nab a father who has allegedly thrown his two children into the Nilwala River. The girl aged four and boy aged two were rescued by the security forces after being thrown into the water from the Mahanama bridge in Matara.
 

The incident has occurred at 11am today and the rescued children have been admitted to the Matara General Hospital.
