One dead in accident at Omanthai

One person has died after motorcycle collided with a private bus on the Jaffna-Vavuniya road near Omanthai. The motorcyclist (63) has sustained serious injuries in the collision and succumbed after he was admitted to the Vavuniya hospital.

Another cyclist also has been injured during the accident and has been admitted to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the bus has been arrested and will be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate court, police said.
