STF security for Mahiyanganaya ahead of polls

Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel have been deployed to provide security in the Mahiyanganaya area from today (09) until the Uva Provincial Council election concludes.
It has been reported that STF personnel were deployed according to a request made by the Elections Commissioner.
A unit comprising of 30 Special Task Force (STF) personnel have been assigned to ensure security in the area until Election Day on September 20.
