Veteran journalist “Kasuri” passes away

Veteran journalist and award-winning novelist Karunadasa Sooriyarachchi, popularly known as “Kasuri”, has passed away today after a brief illness, the Colombo National Hospital said. 

Kasuri was the former Chief Editor of the state-owned “Silumina” newspaper. He is also the author of several award-winning novels such as “Rathu Idda”.
