Kumar Sangakkara hit his 20th one-day hundred to propel Sri Lanka to 292-7 in the sixth game of the one-day series against England on Saturday.

Sangakkara hit a run-a-ball 112 including 12 fours and two sixes and shared 153 runs for the second wicket with Tillakaratne Dilshan who made 68 after Sri Lanka elected to bat first at Pallekele International Stadium.

A win will secure Sri Lanka the seven-match series but an England victory will level the series with one to play.

Fast bowler Steven Finn returned the best bowling figures of 2-51 while Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan also took two wickets each.
