TV Derana receives awards at RSA

TV Derana on Tuesday (7) received several awards at the Rupavahini State Awards (RSA) ceremony.
“Gurupara” won the Best Documentary Award while “Hela Wanshaya” won the award for Best Trailer.
The RSA ceremony -2014 organized for the 11th time by the Department of Cultural Affairs on the instruction of the State Ministry of Cultural Affairs was held at the BMICH under the participation of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
The objective of the festival is to give due accolade to the tele artistes and for the qualitative development of the field of television art.
This is the only festival held to give state honors to tele-artistes who have showcased excellent skills in the field.
