Veteran artiste Daya Rajapaksa passes away at age 78

Veteran artiste and cartoonist Daya Rajapaksa passed away at the age of 78, this morning (26), a family member told Ada Derana. 


Daya Rajapaksa was undergoing treatments at a hospital in Colombo.


Some of Rajapaksa’s cartoon stories all along had been used for 12 films among which were Gamini Fonseka’s ‘Hulawali’, ‘Thawalama’, ‘Bandura Mal’, ‘Sakvithi Suwaya’ and Malani Fonseka’s ‘Nirupamala’ and ‘Sasara Chethana’.
