UPFA Parliamentarian Sajin de Vass Gunawardena, who was arrested for allegedly misusing vehicles belonging to the President Secretariat Office, has been further remanded until August 11 by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

The order was issued when the MP was produced before the Magistrate, when the case was taken up for hearing today (04).

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) summoned Gunawardena to record a statement, in this regard, on May 11, where he was subsequently arrested.

Gunawardena was also on bail in a separate case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for non-declaration of his assets.
