Mahinda Deshapriya appointed Chairman of the Election Commission

Election Chief Mahinda Deshapriya has been appointed as the Chairman of the Election Commission, it was reported.
Meanwhile, Naleen Abeysekara and Ranjeevan Hoole have also been appointed as members to the commission.
The Election Commission has been established with effect from November 2015 under the 19 the amendment to the Constitution.
