Nisha Biswal arrives in Sri Lanka

The United States Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (20).


Nisha Biswal had arrived here last August as well, where she had discussions with key government officials including the Foreign Minister, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, and President Maithripala Sirisena.


She oversees U.S. foreign policy and relations in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
