Bribery Commission files case against Welgama

The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption filed a case against MP Kumara Welgama today.


The case was filed for illegally paying Rs.3.2 million to the Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board.

 
The Bribery Commission said that the transaction had been approved while Welgama was serving as the Transport Minister of the former Government.
