Joint Opposition accuses govt of excessive spending

Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa claims that the incumbent government came to power with “fairy tales” regarding wastage and corruption, however now it is spending over Rs 30 million on a convention for farmers. 

He alleged that Rs 7 million is being spent for transporting farmers alone to the event, which will be attended by President Maithripala Sirisena.
