Cocaine haul found inside container in Peliyagoda

A large consignment of cocaine has been discovered inside a container at the container yard in Peliyagoda.
The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) today found 274 kilograms of cocaine in side one of the containers, police said.
The total value of the seized drugs has not been estimated yet while further investigations are ongoing.
The detection is one of the biggest hauls in recent times and comes just over a month after 80 kilograms of cocaine, estimated to be worth around Rs 1.2 billion, was found inside a container at the Orugodawatta container yard.
