Body washes ashore with no arms or legs

An unidentified body, missing both arms and both legs, has washed ashore at the Mampuriya beach in Kalpitiya. 

Police said the body was discovered following information provided by a fisherman to the Kalpitiya Police. 

The body is missing both arms and both legs and has not been identified yet, police said. 

The remains have been placed at the Puttalam Hospital for the postmortem examination while Kalpitiya Police is conducting further investigations.
