Asoka Herath to get Renuka Herath’s seat in CPC

United National Party (UNP) candidate Asoka Priyantha Bandara Herath has been appointed to fill seat left vacant by the death of UNP Central Provincial Council member Renuka Herath.

Opposition Leader of Central Provincial Council and former Minister Renuka Herath, who represented the Nuwara Eliya District, passed away on March 13 at the age of 72. 

Asoka Herath’s name was put forward by the party to fill the seat left vacant while it was approved by the Elections Commission.
