Driver loses control of speeding lorry in Namunukula; 6 injured

A lorry had met with an accident in Namunukula of Thannekumbura, injuring 6 in the process.

According to the Police, the lorry had been transporting a generator and speeding towards Miyanakandawura when the driver had lost control of the vehicle. The lorry had resultantly veered off-course and toppled.

2 of the injured victims have been admitted to Badulla Hospital whereas the other 4 have been admitted to Passara Hospital.

Passara Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
