Rough sea along Kankasanthurei and Kalmune sea belt

The coastal belt up to Kankasanthurei from Puttalam,Mannar and upto Kalmune from Hambantota,Pothuwil  will be rough today(29) , the Meteorological Department announced.

Heavy rainfall can be expected in these areas and the speed of wind will be between 60 to 70 km / h.

Fishermen in these areas are warned against venturing into the sea as gusty winds and a rough sea would prevail along the coast.

Prevailing windy condition over the island, particularly in the Northern, North-Central, Uva and Central provinces and in Hambantota district will be reduced by tomorrow.

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
