DMC reports possible landslides in Ratnapura

Officials from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) have advised residents of Ratnapura to be vigilant of possible landslides that may occur due to persistent rainfall.

DMC personnel have reported that one spill gate of the Kukuleganga dam has been opened due to prevent floods from occurring.
 
Accordingly residents downstream of the Kukuleganga dam have been advised to remain on high alert for potential flash floods.
