Death sentence imposed on brothers who committed murder in 2001

The Colombo high Court imposed the Death penalty on two brothers for a murder they committed in 2001. 

A court case was filed against two brothers for stabbing an individual to death on October 18, 2001.

Colombo High Court Judge A.A.R. Heiyanthuduwa found the two brothers guilty during court proceedings today (27), and imposed the death sentence 16 years after the case was lodged.

The two suspects aged 45 and 47 are residents of Kotahena.
