Female German tourist drowns off the coast of Tangalle

A 59 year old German tourist was killed just off the coast of Marakolliya in Tangalle earlier today (24).
Police personnel stated that the 59 year old female was bathing in the sea despite warnings of the coastguard and beach patrol.
Residents of the area were able to recover the body after a lengthy search and rescue mission.
