LG polls: Postal voting on Jan. 25 and 26

The Elections Commission says that postal voting for the upcoming Local Government election will take place on January 25 and 26, 2018.
Additional Election Commissioner Saman Sri Ratnayake said that public sector employees whose applications for postal voting have been accepted can cast their postal votes on the aforementioned dates.
Accordingly, employees in the public sector who will be on election duty will be provided with the opportunity to exercise their franchise through postal voting.
In addition to this police and security forces personnel participating in election related duties and government employees directly participating in election activities can cast their postal votes on January 22.
