The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan conducted a mobile consular service in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, coinciding with the vibrant “Vesak Kalapaya” festival organized by the Ohana Association. This dual event brought essential consular services—including passport applications, driver’s license assistance, and affidavit issuance—to the Sri Lankan community, while also celebrating Vesak and Poson Poya with over 600 illuminated lanterns.
