CEB workers protest…

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) employees staged a protest opposite the CEB Head Office in Colombo on Thursday (18), leading to severe traffic congestion in the area. The protest, part of an ongoing work-to-rule and sick leave campaign that began on September 4, opposes the restructuring process of the CEB. Trade unions have warned they will intensify actions if their demands continue to be ignored.
