Mahinda visits Kandy Temple

Newly appointed Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has arrived at Kandy this morning, stated Ada Derana reporter.

He had visited the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and obtained blessings.

He was warmly welcomed by Diyawadane Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara and the Basnayake Nilames of the four main Dewales.

Prime Minister had then called on the Malwatu-Asgiri Chapter Chief Prelates as well.
