15 DIGs and 3 SPs transferred

15 DIGs and 3 SPs transferred

High-ranking police officers including 15 Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIGs) and 3 Superintendents of Police (SPs) including the Director of the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) have been transferred.

Police Media Unit said that the transfers have been carried out with immediate effect on exigencies of service, and with the approval of the National Police Commission.

DIGs I.M.S. Yatawara, P.S.D. Dayananda, R.L. Kodithuwakku, R.M.N. Perera, A.H.M. Alahakoon, K.N. Wedasinghe, V.G.D. Karunaratne, J.A. Perera, H.H. Chulasiri, G. Jayasuriya, S.A. Abeywickrama, L.W.P. Siriwardena, W.K. de Silva, D.R.L Ranaweera and M.D.R. Daminda have been transferred.

In addition to this SPs G.N. de Soysa, D.V.P. Ajith Hesiri and W.S.P. de Silva have also been transferred.
