Criminal gang member wanted for murder arrested in Ragama

A member of an organized criminal gang has been arrested during a raid carried out by the Police Special Task Force (STF).
According to reports, the suspect was taken into custody along with a hand grenade, a dagger, Kerala Cannabis and a car, near the Horape railway station in Ragama.
He had been wanted by the police for a murder that took place in Ragama back in 2016, as well as for threatening, kidnapping, extortion and robbery.
The STF said Gampaha and Welisara courts had issued warrants for the arrest of this suspect who was identified as Sabeetha Dinesh Kumara alias Sabeetha.
He has been handed over to the Ragama Police for further investigations.
