Rtd. Gen. Sarath Fonseka’s lawyer MP Wijedasa Rajapaksa today told Ada Derana that they will be filing a Fundamental Rights(FR) petition during the course of the day against the detention of Fonseka.

Wijedasa added that Fonseka is currently being housed at the Junior Officers condominium. He added that the Retired General had gone 24 hours without medication until he along with Fonseka’s wife visited him at the condominium last night.

However the spokesman Major General Prasad Samarasinghe told Ada Derana yesterday that the Former Army Commander had been provided with full security and protection under detention.
