154 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

The Health Ministry confirms that another 154 persons in the country have tested positive for the novel coronavirus today (March 16).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in the country thus far to 88,392.

A total of 2,489 patients are currently under treatment for the virus at designated hospitals and treatment centres.

In the meantime, the total number of recoveries has increased to 85,371.
