Potta Naufer assaulted in prison, admitted to hospital

Mohamed Niyaz Naufer alias Potta Naufer, serving sentence at the Bogambara Prison in Kandywas admitted to hospital this evening after being assaulted by two other inmates, say Prison authorities.

Naufer, a notorious underworld gangster was sentenced to death for the killing of High Court Judge Sarath Ambepitiya.
