VIDEO: ‘3 Idiots’ wins IIFA Best Film Award amidst hiccups

‘3 Idiots’ won the Best Film Award at the Indian
International Film Academy Weekend award ceremony being held in
‘3 Idiots’ is a 2009 Bollywood comedy film directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with a screenplay by Abhijat Joshi, and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat.
‘3 Idiots’ stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani.
IIFA Best Actor’s award went to Amitabh Bachchan for the film ‘Paa’ while the award for best actress was shared by Kareena Kapoor for her role in ‘3 Idiots’ and Vidya Balan for her role in ‘Paa’.
Meanwhile, reports say that President Mahinda Rajapaksa who was to be the chief guest at the IFFA Awards ceremony had not attended the function while most of the local cinema personalities too had kept away due to reasons yet not clear.
