June 18, 2010   05:00 pm

Four faculties of the Ruhuna Universityhave been closed indefinitely, says the Vice Chancellor. The closure comes amidst clashes among student factions.

Except the Engineering, Medical and Agricultural Faculties the others have been closed, says Vice Chancellor professor Susarith Mendis.

The clashes are a sequel to some minor incidents which had been blown out of proportion, according to university sources.

However, Prof. Mendis said the University will reopen once the situation is brought under control.
