Brigadier Medawala takes over as Military spokesman

Brigadier Ubaya Medawala has been appointed Military spokesman and Director of Army Media, says the Sri Lanka Army. Brigadier Medawala replaces Major General Prasad Samarasinghe as spokesman.



Brigadier Medawala’s strong point being his proficiency in all three language, Sinhala, Tamil and English, he was the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army’s 53 Division.

 

 

Meanwhile, former Military Spokesman Major General Prasad Samarasinghe has taken over as Director General of the Defence Ministry’s Research and Development Division and also as Chief Signals Officer of the Sri Lanka Army.
