Trains on Main Line delayed due to derailment

Trains operating on the Main Line are experiencing delays due to a derailment this morning (March 13), the Railway Control Room says.

According to reports, two passenger carriages of the Anuradhapura-bound “Yal Devi” intercity express train have derailed near the Orugodawatte railway bridge.

The Railway Control Room said efforts are underway to put the derailed “Yal Devi” train back on the tracks.
