Sri Lanka’s premier hair care brand, Sunsilk has once again taken beauty culture to the masses with its ‘Sunsilk Hadakari 2010’ event. The finals, held on the 6th of July, was a glamorous night of beautiful hair creations by enterprising individuals from across the country who realized the benefits of well treated hair through various workshops conducted by Sunsilk.

For the past few years, Sunsilk has completed many regional workshops with the aim of educating the Sri Lankan market on the benefit of using specialized hair care products for their hair, instead of the traditional soap that 50% of the market has been apt to using.

In 2009, Sunsilk Hadakari regional workshops were carried out in Matara, Anuradhapura, Negombo and Kandy, recognizing 52 talented entrepreneurs in the beauty industry. The final workshop and the competition between these individual regional winners were held on the 6th of July 2010 at Hotel Galadari. The 10 most outstanding contestants received valuable gifts from Sunsilk and the first three winners also received a scholarship from the renowned Sunsilk Ramani Fernando Hair Academy worth Rs.100,000/- each. Along with the prize giving, the evening also comprised of a glamorous fashion show presented by these entrepreneurs, showcasing their creativity and knowledge gained through the Hadakari workshops.

The launch of ‘Sunsilk Hair Expert 2010’ was officially announced at a media conference where the Sunsilk Brand Manager, Dilini Dahanayake announced the details of the regional events scheduled to take place this year. This year’s event will focus on taking the expertise of Sunsilk along with its new partnerships
