Person shot dead in Ambalangoda town

A person has been shot and killed by two unidentified gunmen at the Ambalangoda town a short while ago, the police said.
The victim is reportedly a 56-year-old three-wheeler driver who was residing in Randombe area in Ambalangoda.
According to the suspicions of the police, the gunmen have used a pistol to shoot the victim, who reportedly died on the spot.
Further investigations are conducted by Ambalangoda Police to apprehend the perpetrators who are currently at large.
