Police fire water cannons at IUSF protesters in Colombo

Police have fired water cannons in an attempt to disperse a protest march currently being staged by the Inter University Students’ Federation (IUSF) in Colombo.

Accordingly, water cannons were used to disperse the student protesters near Lipton Circus in Colombo, Ada Derana correspondent confirmed.

The protest was held demanding the release of IUSF activists Kelum Muddannayake and Dilshan Harshana, who have been in remand custody for over 200 days.
