Man injured in drive-by shooting in Ahungalla

A man who was travelling in a three-wheeler has sustained injuries this morning (Oct. 11) after being shot at in Ahungalla.
According to the police, a group of individuals in a car had opened fire at the victim near a tourist hotel.
The 38-year-old was rushed to the Balapitiya Base Hospital for immediate medical attention and was later moved to Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The victim is reportedly a resident of the Nape area in Kosgoda.
Ahungalla Police has initiated investigations to apprehend the assailants.
