Tear gas fired at teachers’ protest in Pelawatte

Police have fired tear gas and water cannons in attempts to disperse a protest march staged by teachers near the Palam Thuna junction in Pelawatte.

Accordingly, the Borella – Kottawa road (174 bus route) has been closed for traffic, Ada Derana learns.
