Sluice gates of Deduru Oya opened

The sluice gates of the Deduru Oya are being opened as water level is rising rapidly due to continuous heavy rains, the Irrigation Department announced.

Accordingly, people living downstream of Deduru Oya are advised to be cautious about possible flood situations, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.
