Presidential and parliamentary elections next year - President

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, delivering the 2024 Budget Speech today, said a Presidential Election and the General Election would be held next year.
The Head of State commenced presenting the Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2024 or the ‘Budget Speech’ this afternoon.
