Police officer takes his own life at expressway interchange

A police officer has committed suicide this morning (Dec.06) by shooting himself using his service firearm.
According to the police spokesman, the 54-year-old has taken his own life between 6:00 - 7:00 a.m. today.
He had been on duty at the Peliyagoda expressway interchange last night.
