Railway track flooded; ‘Meenagaya’ intercity express train cancelled

The ‘Meenagaya’ intercity express train scheduled for tonight (10 Jan.) has been cancelled due to flood water along the railway track.

Accordingly, the Colombo - Batticaloa night-mail express will not operate tonight, in light of the submerged railway track in Valaichchenai, Punai.

Meanwhile, the ‘Pulasthi’ express train will be restricted to Polonnaruwa, the Sri Lanka Railways Department reported.
