Hulanda Oya Bridge collapses

Traffic plying on the Embilitipitya – Middeniya main road has been blocked after the Hulanda Oya bridge collapsed earlier this morning (05 Feb.).
It is reported that the bridge had collapsed while a logging truck was travelling across.
However, no casualties have been reported thus far, while motorists have been urged to use alternative routes.
