Two separate murders reported in Ratnapura and Lunugala

A 32-year-old has reportedly been murdered with sharp weapon in the Dodampe area of Ratnapura.
Preliminary police investigations have uncovered that the crime was committed by an individual over a dispute with the deceased, who is his uncle.
The victim is a 32-year-old resident of Dompe.
The suspect has reportedly fled the area, and Ratnapura Police are conducting further investigations to apprehend him.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a husband has reportedly murdered his wife in the Janathapura area of Lunugala over a family dispute, says police.
It is reported that the deceased was a 36-year-old woman, who was a resident of Janathapura.
Police said the suspect has fled the area following the murder and Lunugala Police are conducting further investigations to arrest him.
