4kg of ‘Ice’ found inside parcel sent from Pakistan

A package with 04 kilograms of ‘Ice’ (Crystal methamphetamine) drugs has been taken into custody at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo, the police said.

Meanwhile, police mentioned that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the parcel sent to Colombo from Pakistan.

The street value of the haul of drugs is estimated to be around Rs. 400 million, according to police.

The parcel in question was sent to an address in the Modara area. The drugs had been concealed inside a carpet.

The detection was made based on intelligence received by Sri Lanka Customs.
