Thirty students and a teacher at a school in the Mutur police division have been hospitalised following a wasp attack.

Police stated that the students, who are preparing to sit for the Grade 05 Scholarship Exam, had attended extra classes at the school last evening (25).

During the class, a wasp nest near the school had been disturbed, causing the students and the teacher at the school to be attacked by wasps.

Twenty-two male students and eight female students along with the teacher have been admitted to Mutur Base Hospital for further treatment.
