Teacher-principal trade unions to protest in front of schools tomorrow

The teacher-principal trade unions have planned to stage protests in front of schools tomorrow (02), demanding prompt solutions to their issues.

Meanwhile, they also announced their intention to unite all public sector trade unions as the teacher-principal alliance next Friday.

The teacher-principal trade unions are protesting today by displaying black flags and banners in front of schools over several demands, including the elimination of teacher-principal salary disparities.

Meanwhile, the Ceylon Teachers’ Union confirmed that tomorrow’s protests will take place after school hours.

The General Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers’ Union (CTU) Joseph Stalin emphasized the necessity of these trade union measures and urged parents to understand the situation, during a press conference today.
