Sri Lanka’s official reserves up by 4.3% in June

Sri Lanka’s official reserve assets increased by 4.3% to USD 5.64 billion in June 2024, compared to USD 5.41 billion in May 2024, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). 

However, this includes proceeds from the swap with People’s Bank of China (PBoC) equivalent to around USD 1.4 billion, which is subject to conditionalities on usability.
