Person dies after being hit by train

A person has reportedly died after being hit by a train traveling from Colombo towards Badulla.
Peradeniya Police has also initiated an investigation regarding the accident that occurred last night (11) in the area between Pilimathalawa and Penideniya railway stations.
Police said that the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed as of yet.
Police say that the deceased is a 35-year-old man, 06 feet 04 inches tall, wearing purple shorts and a gray T-shirt.
The body has been placed in the mortuary of the Peradeniya Hospital and the Peradeniya Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
