Jackson Anthony’s wife and Mangala Samaraweera’s niece join SJB

Kumari Munasinghe, the wife of veteran actor the late Jackson Anthony, has extended her support for Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa in the 2024 presidential election.

Premadasa has also appointed Kumari Munasinghe as the Gampaha District Organiser of the SJB, after she officially joined the party.

Meanwhile, Chanchala Gunawardena, the niece of the late former minister Mangala Samaraweera, has also joined the SJB to back Sajith Premadasa during the forthcoming presidential poll.

SJB leader and presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa has appointed her to the post of Matara District Organiser of the SJB, after she joined the party.

Gunawardena is the first person from Mangala Samaraweera’s family to enter into politics after the passing of the veteran politician.
